These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of www.tackett4deeds.com (the “Site”) and any related forms, email lists, and text messaging programs operated by Friends of Tackett (the “Campaign,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), the campaign committee for David Tackett, candidate for New Castle County Recorder of Deeds.
By using the Site, submitting a form, or opting in to receive messages from us, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
You may use the Site for lawful, personal, non-commercial purposes related to learning about or supporting the Campaign. You agree not to:
Our sign-up and Get Involved forms let you request a yard sign, volunteer, or ask a question. Submitting a form does not create any obligation on our part to provide a yard sign, a volunteer assignment, or any other service. Information you submit is handled as described in our Privacy Policy. Please do not submit sensitive personal information through our forms.
Opting in to our text messaging program is entirely optional. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of volunteering, requesting a yard sign, donating, or receiving anything else from the Campaign.
By checking the text messaging consent box on our Get Involved page, you consent to receive text messages. Messages may include campaign updates, event information, volunteer opportunities, and requests for donation. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency may vary. Reply STOP to opt-out and HELP for help.
We will not share text messaging originator opt-in data and consent, provided that the foregoing does not apply to sharing (1) with vendors, consultants and other service providers who need access to such information to carry out work on our behalf (and who will not use such information for their own purposes); (2) if we believe disclosure is required by any applicable law, rule, or regulation or to comply with law enforcement or legal process; and (3) if the user consents to our sharing of such information.
Any contributions to the Campaign are governed by applicable Delaware and federal campaign finance law, including limits on who may contribute and public reporting requirements. Contributions are not tax deductible.
The content on the Site — including text, graphics, logos, photographs, and design — is owned by the Campaign or used with permission, and is protected by applicable law. You may share and link to Site content for non-commercial purposes related to the Campaign. You may not otherwise reproduce, modify, or distribute it without our permission.
The Site links to third-party websites and services, including the Delaware Department of Elections and Facebook. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, terms, or privacy practices.
The Site and its content are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make reasonable efforts to keep information such as election dates and voter resources accurate and current, but we do not guarantee accuracy or completeness. For official election information, always consult the Delaware Department of Elections.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Campaign and its staff and volunteers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of the Site or our messaging programs, including any missed, delayed, or undelivered message.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and post the revised Terms on this page. Your continued use of the Site after we post changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.
